YOUR AVIATION JOURNEY STARTS HERE

The RMAG Young Eagles Club is designed for middle school students who are curious about aviation, aerospace, technology, and exploration.

More than just a first flight, the Young Eagles Club provides year-round opportunities for students to learn, experience, and engage with the world of aviation through mentorship, hands-on activities, airport experiences, and exclusive aviation events.

Whether your child dreams of becoming a pilot, engineer, air traffic controller, aviation security professional, or simply wants to discover something new, this is where the journey begins.

WHAT IS THE YOUNG EAGLES CLUB?

The Young Eagles Club is Rocky Mountain Aero Group's aviation enrichment program for students ages 11–14 throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and Western Colorado.

Built around EAA's internationally recognized Young Eagles program, the club combines introductory flight experiences with ongoing aviation education, STEM learning, mentorship, and career exploration.

Members gain access to opportunities that go far beyond a single flight.

Young Eagles Club Members May:

• Experience a Young Eagles flight

• Meet pilots and aviation professionals

• Explore aviation and aerospace careers

• Participate in hands-on STEM activities

• Tour airports and aviation facilities

• Use flight simulators and aviation technology

• Connect with other students who share similar interests

WHO CAN JOIN?

Student Ages 11–14

No aviation experience is required.

Just bring curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

Students from Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Rifle, and surrounding communities are welcome.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

Discovery Flights

Experience the excitement of flight from the cockpit of a real aircraft and see the world from a completely new perspective.

Aviation Experiences

Participate in airport tours, aircraft demonstrations, guest speaker presentations, and behind-the-scenes opportunities that introduce students to how aviation works.

STEM & Aerospace Activities

Explore concepts such as aerodynamics, aircraft design, weather, navigation, engineering, drones, aerospace technology, and flight simulation through engaging hands-on activities.

Mentorship & Career Exploration

Meet aviation professionals from a variety of career fields and gain insight into the many opportunities available within the aviation and aerospace industries.

Our goal is not simply to introduce aviation. It is to help students explore where aviation might take them.

The aviation industry needs future pilots, engineers, technicians, airport professionals, aviation security specialists, air traffic controllers, and innovators.

By providing meaningful experiences at an early age, we help students develop confidence, curiosity, and a better understanding of the many pathways available to them.

SAFETY FIRST

Safety is our highest priority.

Young Eagles flights are conducted by experienced volunteer pilots who meet EAA requirements and operate in accordance with established safety standards.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate, attend events, and share in the experience.

WHAT COMES NEXT

As students grow, they can continue their aviation journey through RMAG's Aviation Exploring Program – Explorer Post 777 (ages 14–20).

Explorer Post 777 provides advanced exposure to aviation, aerospace, airport operations, aviation security, leadership development, and career exploration opportunities.

Together, these programs create a pathway from first flight to future career.
