KGWS Sumers Airpark Aviation Expo

Join us at KGWS Sumers Airpark (Glenwood Springs Airport) on Sunday, October 4, from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM for a free community celebration of aviation! Explore static aircraft, enjoy a pancake breakfast and live music, visit the Kids Zone, and connect with local aviation organizations and community partners.

Rocky Mountain Aero Group will oversee the EAA Young Eagles flights, giving youth ages 8–17 the opportunity to experience aviation firsthand with a free introductory flight alongside volunteer pilots. Young Eagles flight registration is required and space is limited.

Join Rocky Mountain Aero Group for the Explorer Post 777 Open House on Friday, October 30 at Sumers Airpark (KGWS).

Students ages 14–20 and their families are invited to discover how Explorer Post 777 provides hands-on aviation experiences, mentorship, airport tours, leadership development, and career exploration through Scouting America's Exploring program. Admission is free.
