ACTIVE YOUTH PROGRAMS
CREATING ACCESS. OPENING DOORS.
For many youth, aviation begins with a single opportunity: a first flight, an airport visit, a conversation with a pilot, building an aircraft, or discovering a career they never knew existed.
The Rocky Mountain Aviation & Aerospace Foundation (RMAAF) exists to create more of those opportunities across Western Colorado.
Through education, hands-on experiences, mentorship, scholarships, and community partnerships, we help youth experience aviation firsthand and discover where it can take them.
EXPOSURE LEADS TO OPPORTUNITIES.
WHY THE FOUNDATION EXISTS
Talent and curiosity are everywhere. Access to aviation is not.
Cost, geography, transportation, and simply not knowing where to begin can keep youth from experiencing aviation and aerospace.
RMAAF helps bridge that gap by supporting programs and opportunities that bring aviation closer to the communities and youth we serve.
We believe a youth shouldn't have to grow up near a major aviation hub, come from an aviation family, or already know someone in the industry to discover that they belong here.

WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MAKES POSSIBLE
FIRST FLIGHTS
Help youth experience aviation firsthand through free introductory flight opportunities.
HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES
Support aviation camps, STEM activities, simulators, aircraft projects, airport visits, and other real-world learning experiences.
MENTORSHIP & PATHWAYS
Connect youth with pilots, engineers, technicians, airport professionals, and mentors who can help turn an interest into a next step.
SCHOLARSHIPS & ACCESS
Help reduce financial barriers so more youth can participate in aviation programs and experiences.
MORE THAN A SINGLE EXPERIENCE
Our goal isn't simply to introduce youth to aviation once.
We want to create a pathway that allows an initial spark to grow into continued involvement, mentorship, education, and eventually opportunity.
From a first Young Eagles flight to aviation clubs, summer camps, airport experiences, mentors, and career exploration, RMAAF helps support opportunities for youth to discover aviation, stay engaged, and find their next step.
YOUR GIFT CREATES THE NEXT OPPORTUNITY
A donation can help provide a first flight, send a youth to aviation camp, purchase equipment for a hands-on activity, support a youth program, or make an experience accessible to a family that otherwise could not participate.
Every gift helps us say “yes” to more youth, more experiences, and more opportunities.
You may never know which experience becomes the one that changes someone's direction.
You can help make sure that experience exists.
HELP US OPEN THE NEXT DOOR.
