GIVE YOUR CHILD THEIR FIRST FLIGHT EXPERIENCE!
Rocky Mountain Aero Group, in coordination with KGWS Sumers Airpark (Glenwood Springs Airport) and the EAA Young Eagles Program, invites youth ages 8–17 to take part in a special Young Eagles Rally.
This is a unique opportunity for local students to experience aviation firsthand, meet real pilots, and begin exploring future careers in aviation and beyond.
What to Expect:
A free introductory flight with a certified pilot
Pre-flight safety briefing
Opportunity to learn about aircraft and aviation careers
Meet local pilots and aviation professionals
Lunch provided for participants
Participant Requirements:
Ages 8–17 only
Parent or legal guardian must be present
Pre-registration is required
Completed waiver required before flight
Closed-toe shoes recommended
How the Event Works:
Flights are conducted on a first-come, first-fly basis within your registered time window.
Please arrive early to check in and secure your place in line.
Why This Matters:
This event is part of Rocky Mountain Aero Group’s mission to expand access to aviation opportunities across the Roaring Fork Valley, including Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, and Rifle.
We are building a pathway for local youth to discover careers in aviation, engineering, and aerospace, starting with moments like this.
Safety & Oversight:
All flights are conducted by experienced, FAA-certified pilots under the EAA Young Eagles Program, which has introduced over 2 million young people to aviation nationwide.
