Explorer Post 777 Relaunch

Rocky Mountain Aero Group is proud to serve as the sponsoring organization for the relaunch of Explorer Post 777, a youth aviation career exploration program serving students across the Roaring Fork Valley.

Explorer Post 777 operates through Scouting America’s Aviation Exploring program, which introduces young people to potential careers through mentorship and hands-on learning experiences with industry professionals.

The goal of the program is to give high school students meaningful exposure to the many careers within aviation and aerospace. While many people immediately think of becoming a pilot, the aviation industry offers a wide range of opportunities, including airport operations, aviation maintenance, engineering, aviation security, dispatch, and emerging aerospace technologies.

Through Explorer Post 777, students will have the opportunity to participate in airport visits, workshops, mentorship sessions, and career exploration events designed to help them better understand the aviation industry.

Rocky Mountain Aero Group is working with aviation partners across the valley to ensure the program serves students in Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, and surrounding communities, helping build a stronger and more connected aviation workforce pipeline for the future.
